Digital finance is a key pillar in Africa and as a growing continent governments and other stakeholders are working include everyone to be financially stable through digitization of Services.
Speaking as a Keynote the Digital Banking and Fintech Summit organized by the Africa Digital Festival and Digital Foundation Africa, Sabine Mensah who is the West and Central Regional Digital Manager for the United Nations Capital Development Fund talked about the enablement of financial inclusion and stability across Africa.
The UNCDF is about promoting inclusive digital economies that leaves no one behind in Africa because we are about collaborations that provide accessibility to the most vulnerable especially those who are excluded from the formal financial system on the continent, she emphasised during their presentation.
Sabine also stated that for better financial inclusion strategies to be sustainable across the continent, the customer protection framework around offering financial services should be a number priority that has to be implemented by Stakeholders.
The event has speakers across the continent talking about the Digital Banking and fintech space on what’s needed to be done especially on policy implementation and readiness of Governments and other stakeholders to collaborate to make African’s Financially and digitally enabled.
