Jobberman, one of Nigeria’s most sought-after job portal and career platforms has launched its first-ever virtual career fair slated for September 30th, 2020. This initiative was created as part of the #championscampaign and will see over 200 prospective employers from tech, agriculture, creative industries, and 10,000 qualified job seekers with various corporate experiences.
As a result of the COVID-19, the unemployment rate in Nigeria is at its highest of 40%, causing difficulty in securing a job. This event is in line with the company’s mandate to create employment opportunities for about 3 million Nigerian youths by the next 5 years.
The day’s event will focus on the rising competition in the job market and providing the necessary skills that will get participants hired, with interpersonal interviews between applicants and businesses.
