On the August 19, 2020 The Africa Digital Festival as part of its pre activities for towards the 2021 Festival released its maiden list of innovators, changemakers, policymakers, startups founders and investors who are championing the use of Digital in Africa.
The list which covered 50 African countries saw notable individuals listed with their areas of expertise and as such AfricaDigitalReport.com want to focus on the Winners from the Portuguese speaking African countries and who made the list.
From Cabo Verde, Mr Pedro N. Lopes who is the secretary of state for innovation and professional training was the winner for the country based on his contributions in the formation of Cabo Verde Digital, training of young women among other digital initiatives in the country.
Frederico P.Silva represented Mozambique with his digital experiences from developing solutions for the country on waste management thus (MOPA.co.mz) to his new venture Talento a hybrid recruitment portal offering social impact to employers and job seekers in Mozambique.
Aimonia Cabral from Guinea Bissau with her revolutionary solution BandimOnline, an ecommerce platform offering Guinea Bissau access to variety of shopping experience on the go.
The last person representing the Portuguese speaking innovators on the list is Aniceto Julio Joao De Carvalho who is the CEO of mwangobrain that has developed solutions like Onde that helps Angolans to commute faster, easier and safer. There among other solutions is what Anicento’s company works on to promote Digital Africa and Angola at large.
